Purpose, Mission, and Vision
The purpose of ArtistMutualAid.org is to foster a community of creative first-responders for artists, known and unknown, so that they may find intersectional allyship and a reciprocal network of craft-sustaining support.
AMA mission: To build pro-action strategies in what Artist Mutual Aid calls the "Three Pillars of Creative Self Care"—or the Psychological, Physical, and Professional aspects that sustain every artist—and cultivate opportunities for one another as a community garden blooming amidst these pillars.
AMA vision: to collaborate with like-minded organizations on joint practical responses to socio-economic emergencies in our communities, so all artists can thrive as seeds in a mutually protective soil, in a sustainable creative ecosystem.
Artificial Intelligence poses challenges to artists whose intellectual property faces threats at every turn. Artist Mutual Aid seeks to build a shared literacy on technologies impacting the creative workforce in real time.
